Motobecane Fantom 3.0 w/ Lx or 03' Trek Fuel 80?
    Hey to everybody,

i'm looking to buy a first time dual sus. bike. i currently have a raleigh m60 but will be doing 3 weeks of colorado/utah singletrack this summer so people have told me its time to invest in a dual suspension bike. i'm on a budget and have found 2 solid bikes around 900 dollars.my choices are a Motobecane Fantom 3.0 w/ deore lx components, a rock shox judy tt fork, and powermax disc brakes or a 03' (9000 alum. series) Trek Fuel 80 with deore/bontrager components, rockshox pilot fork, and v-brakes. they both seem like great deals to me but i don't know much about the motobecane brand or frames. if anyone has any advice or experience with these bikes, i'd really appreciate it. thanks,

The trek is a good choice, however, take a look at the Giant NRS. It's about a $100 more but a much better bike in my opinion...plus it climbs like a hardtail. Another bike to look at is the Iron Horse SGS which could be had for $900 at Supergo. A buddy of mine bought one last summer and paid $1300 for it. It has better componants then the Trek and a better fork. I've always had good luck with Raleigh and their RAM series gets good reviews.

Also, take a look at this Terra-Shark...

Maybe I didn't help much by giving you other bikes to consider...sorry, but good luck
