    More clearance

Im a simple, poorish one bike student in a 3 bike town. After a crash that tacoed my front wheel, I had a WTB i29 rim, 650b, laced to my Surly Straggler road hub. Run WTBs 47mm Byway up there now. Question is, whats the safest way to make my clearance increase out back, so I can make my wheels match? Currently, a 650b road plus sits a little far rear of the dimples to have more than 3mm clearance a side. Should I dimple the steel more and further back on the chainstay? Keep the 29x1.95 in back? Swap for a 27.5 sized frame? Hep!

Dimple the chain stays if you have a clamp or something else suitable to do it.
