    Hollowpoint v. I-drive v. Kahuna

I've decided to attempt to build that infamous xc/fr bike that we're all looking for. Because I waste away online looking at frames and their reviews, I've decided to cut it down to these three (they're in my price range and seem to do what I'm looking for).

    03/04 Iron Horse Hollowpoint
    01 GT I-drive
    02/03ish Kona Kahuna

What is the most durable, best bang-for-buck frame?

    04 Iron Horse Hollowpoint - the 03 had a weak seat-tube. 04 is a great frame.

The dual travel option on the 04 Hollowpoint seems to make it more versatile. It was designed to do double duty as XC and trail . They sold a XC race version with an 80mm fork and set in the lower travel setting, and also a more trail bike setup with a long travel fork.

For 05 they split the Hollowpoint into the Azure line for XC racing and the MKIII for trail/freeride

Good luck in finding one. You can still find some 19 and 21" around at good prices, but not much selection in 15 or 17"

    Great, thanks! I'm 6"0', so hopefully I won't have a hard time.
