    Hints/Suggestions for my new bike?

I'm Louis, 16 years old, and I'm looking for a new MTB.
I would spent about 1500dollars for it, but I really don't have inspiration...
So hope somebody can help me....

    Hello Louis!

I am James and I am huge fan of canyon.
I have a canyon for three years now and I am very satisfied about it
That's why I would really commend you one.
In my opinion, it's price - quality one of the best brands on the market.
You should have a look at the site of canyon.

    Let me know your opinion

    Hello James,

Thanks James for your quick reply, I had read something about Canyon and I had a look on their site and I have to say it looks very professional. I'm also surprised in the good way, the prices look good just as the bikeparts. But I don't find the dealers of canyon? And what kind of bike should I take? A fully, 29'er, or a hardtail?

    Kind regards

    Louis

    Hello Louis,

If I were you I would choose a hardtail because you're still young. I have also a question for you: do you prefer SRAM or Shimano?
Canyon has no dealers, it goes straight from the manifactures to the client, that's why the price is so low. If you still have questions, just ask.

do a lot of research before you buy. test ride everything even if out of your price range.
at that price point id look for a hardtail.
used would be best bang for buck. giant has good value complete bikes.

    Time for some questions.
    What style do you ride?
    Are you looking for a 29'er or a 26'er?

That being said, for $1,500 you are probably best set to look for a hardtail.

    James,

I prefer Shimano because I had some bad experiences with my SRAM X9 transmission on my old bike. I think I'm going to do some more research..

Thanks a lot, I really appreciated your help ...

I prefer a 26'er, and my style I'm a recreationist who makes twice a week a ride of 2-4 hours...
