Help me replace my 2002 Intense Tracer

Okay so after 7 years of amazing service, it may be about time to put her out to pasture.

My problem is that I have no idea what to replace it with which will come close to the perfection of the Tracer (why did they stop making it).

I am set on keeping my travel at 4inch front and rear and need something that will either come in at or can be built up to around 25lbs. I get as much enjoyment from climbing as I do from descending so any potential bike has to be good at both. I don't race, just ride XC & trails. I am mechanically sympathetic so although being 200lbs and not too slow donwhill, I have never broken anything (on me or the bike).

So what do you all think. Is there a direct replacement out there??

    Thanks in advance

    Bulky

Do you have a budget? There are a bunch of good XC bikes out there. Giant Anthem, Pivot Mach 4, Titus X, Santa Cruz Blur XC/Superlight just to name a few. Check out the mtbr XC bike reviews here:

Why not look for a 2010 Intense Tracer, there appears to be quite a few new ones still out there.
    2015 Niner Jet 9 Carbon
    2014 Focus Raven 27R
    2017 Lynskey GR250
    2016 Niner BSB
    1987 Haro RS1
