Head Set for Ti Hardtail build

Got all my parts except head set for a Ti hardtail 29XC build. The frame takes a traditional 1 1/8 non taper. Fork is Marzzochi Ti 44 120 travel thru axle.

Trail/cross country/single track, no racing. Some man made ramps and berms but no big drops or big air. 185lbs w/o gear.

Like to have a color choice (red). Had Cane Creek, FSA and Aheadset among others and have had no problems or issues with any and I have no real knowledge of head set options etc.

Head sets - what stands out from all the choices?

Chris King, comes in colors. What frame are you building up?

CK or the CC 110 are on my list.

Frame is custom by Dimitry, Triton. It is a work in progress, hopefully done soon!

Would love to get a King Ti headset!

$350 is a little out of my price range, looks killer though.

Anyone know what the diff between the traditional 1 1/8 and the inset 1 1/8? Both King and Cane Creek have the option, why choose one over the other?

Hard to beat the CC 110 with the 110yr warranty :-)

Inset/Zero Stack headsets only work on frames specifically designed for them. Since your frame has a traditional headtube, they will not work.

Go CC 110 or Chris King Griplock
