A bicycle from a car company..... seriously?
Get a bike and buy a real Ferrari later.... better yet.... get a rally spec car to take you to the trails.

I'm not at all a fan of wheels with less than 32 spokes. Especially on an inexpensive bike.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.

The spec's look more sh*t, than sh*t hot. Doesn't look like a good deal for $800 looks like robbery for the $3000 msrp

Do they? Or do they allow a Colnago sticker to be placed on a Taiwanese or Chinese made frame for some licensing dollars?

Nobody is above whoring themselves out anymore. I used to think the Italians took their cars, bikes etc. too seriously to pimp names like this, but not anymore.

How about coffee? Have you had the LaVazza espresso served at airports and interstate rest stops around the US? Italy's best coffee, huh? Once upon a time, maybe. You serve that stuff to the wrong person in Italy and you'll find yourself dead.

ferrari does this with all sorts of stuff. they'll take an ACER notebook , put a ferrari badge on it, and add 1200 bucks to the cost.

I suppose - I was saying it's not from a car company - more than anything - it's still "made" by a bike co.
Just like Trek, Spesh, Giant, Sette, etc has their stuff made it Taiwan -

I'm sure you're paying more because it says ferarri and colnago on it, but the bike isn't 'crap' (i don't think)
check out this road 'Ferarri' too...
    https://www.colnago.com/news/%5Bcols...d-edition-bike

    $16,700!!
    Honestly... ahh I give up

Yeah, you're right, I just guess I thought one could expect more from the Italians, but no, nobody is above this anymore. You're right, that is a real bike (the mountain bike) but there is also much better out there for $800, and the $3000 list! That's just a laugh.

The road bike is more bike, but there the cost really gets ridiculous.

If the Trike isn't too much I'd get it for my nephew for a laugh.

    That bike has crap components.

I used to think Italians made top notch products. Until I worked side by side with them at production lines at pharma facilities.

It's a hit or miss. Generalization don't always apply. Some stuff made in China can be better than stuff made in Europe and vice versa.

I didnt think it was such a bad bike. Its Deore all the way, it has an alu and carbon frame, its got Colnago heritage, the fork is so-so, but it is air sprung, and you get hydro brakes.

Its not super cheap, but its not overpriced either. If you take 100 off the bike, it would be a steal.

I might buy one for $500 to $600. I could find other ways to spend $800 on a bike.

It's pitched pretty much perfectly to the kind of idiot that would buy a Ferrari bike to sit in the garage next to his Ferrari car.

You even get a bottle of touch up paint. Sigh....

Sort of, but after 1969 they've had the controlling interest of Ferrari.

They probably give the bike away when you buy a Ferrari... at the time you get it, you'll feel like a cool and extreme mtb'er, but in reality, you're an old, bald guy with a quarter mil to burn on a car.../jealous
Now go home and get your ******* shinebox.
