    I don't know if the bike shipped like this or it happened after my 250lb self rode it hard. It looks like clearcoat cracking where the seat tube meets the top tube.

    Honestly, it's really hard to tell based on these pictures. Can you post a few more in different light or angle?

    I'm guessing this is some sort of clear coat or paint defect. But- you should error on the side of caution and have a Trek dealer take a look at the frame. IF the frame has cracked or bent, on the Fuel EX, that would be a really bad place to have a weak spot.
