    Carbon frames: Seat tube collar aligned or opposite the slit?

    I can't remember the definitive answer on this. With a carbon frame, do you align the slit in the seat tube collar with the slit in the frame, OR 180 degrees off, so the clamping pressure is more continuous and uniform in the carbon slit area?

    I think I'm feeling 180 off makes most sense....

    I don't think it really matters if you properly torque your clamp, but the rule I always hear is to run it backwards (180 deg off).
