That depends- what day of the week is this?

Honestly, of what's currently out there I would say the Ibis Mojo or maybe the Yeti 575.
Ever been to Mountain Bike Tales Digital Magazine? Now if only the print rags would catch on!

    Depends -

    BMX - Standard STA

    XC - GT Psyclone

    DH - None yet

    DJ - Blk Mrkt Three57

The DJ bike I dont actually own or have ridden one - but I have yet to hear a bad review on it and I like my current DJ bike which has nearly the same geometry (difference being longer chainstays and aluminum frame). Having said that, I'm 99% sure I will like the Blk Mrkt and I'm seldom almost never wrong about these things. (heck, I bought my current DJ bike off ebay (Ironhorse) and never rode it first and its great - just like I knew it would be)

    One that's ridden...

One that's ridden vs. hanging in a garage or server as a status symbol without ever being used.

^ the great thing about posers in MTB is that they're never on trails.. posers help fund the lbs, and they dont clog the trail! its a win win for us all

Full suspension: Yeti ASR, currently mine and very dirty, so much fun
Hardtail: Waltworks custom steel (with lefty fork), thinking this will be my PhD present to myself in a few years.
Roadie: still deciding, currently Wilier Izoard, saving for now.

I've been wanting a Giant Anthem or the 3 pound steel frame. My current bike does just fine though.

I have a road bike, an xc fs bike, an am bike, a ht xc/commuter bike, and had (until it recently got stolen a DH sled.)

My favorite is my HT XC/Commuter bike. Why? I've had it for a long time. It's a Specialized Hardrock. It's served me so well over the years. I did DJ on it, some light FR on it, rode tons of paved trails on it, and some fast single track. It gets me around as a great commuter... and even served me for a few months when I started to really get into DH before I had a FS bike or my DH sled. Basically it's been my best friend over the last few years and I treat it as my best bike even if technically it's not. I love the bike and it's one of the few I will never ever part with.

My 08 norco wolverine! haha, until I get my SPEC Stumpy. I bought it for $550 on sale, put a new set of spec fast trak lk tires, and a third chainring, still weighs in at about 35 pounds on a 17" frame as my XC bike...

It's worked pretty damn good. My only actual issue with it was the preload adjuster. I went to soften it up from it's stiffer setting after a paved trail ride and it wouldn't budge and eventually just snapped off. I got a replacement part for just a couple bucks though. For the price it's not bad at all. Just don't expect a whole lot from it.

I like hardtail bikes. Now I have two: they are both singlespeed, too, and they fit me.

I have 2 faves, one of which I still own - my old ('01) Trek Fuel 90....love it to death..... the other being the old old old ('60's model) Schwinn StingRay with the big old sissy bar added to the rear I used to mtb on that thing before there were mtbs...heh (I'd switch between fat knobbies and no sissy bar, and a thin front with a slick on the back with the sissy bar for street stylin'....well, as stylin' as a 10 year old can get, I guess...LOL) Dang, I wish I would've held onto that bike, although it's probably rust dust by now - I used to ride it into Barnegat Bay and the Atlantic Ocean in Surf City NJ way back when (before medical waste and munitions were being found on the beaches.....hahahahahaha !!!!)

Yes, the Rock Shox Tora is a great fork. I am unaware of any known problems either..

My favorite bike I wish I owned: Santa Cruz Superlight with XTR setup.

-Anybody think this is a good deal?

My Iron Horse MKIII. The 5 inches of travel is perfect for a short trip to the store, a day on the trail, going into the back woods, or riding in an endurance or XC race. If I'm in the mood, I can also take the ride for some mild downhill riding or a SuperD race. In summary I love my bike because of it's utility.

It all depends on the terrain

For XC / Climbing - I like my Cruiser

For General All Mountain - I'll roll the Kestrel

    For Extreme Downhill/ Hucking - Something heavy-duty

In the Park or Pipe - I take the 'bent

and For the peleton on the road - I'll take a pull w/ the Nicolai

    YEAH!
    Honestly... ahh I give up

I've dreamed of coming across $20k and spending it on a Cannondale Flash and Specialized Epic Carbon. The weird thing about it is that I've dreamed of it like 4 times. They're not my fave or dream bikes for I've been in love with that Ibis Tranny for so long and really don't have a fave or dream for an FS. I don't know why I've dreamed of those other 2 several times.

I love my bike. After I put all XTR drive train it will be the perfect bike for me. I love the ride. Other than a Trance X spec'd to my liking id love an Anthem X spec'd to my liking. If I had to go away from Giant id probably like a Turner Flux and for DHR for DH
