    Strange knee cracking while riding.

    Hey everyone!
Strangely enough, lately after riding for about and hour or two, my right knee start letting out a little popping feeling, as if i were cracking my knuckles, with every revolution. Any idea what can be the cause of this? Recommendations?

I had knee problems with occasional popping and pain.I found raising my seat fixed it.To low of a seat adds stress to the knee`s.To high is easier to tell because you will rock side to side on the saddle. Also warming up in lower gears and not pushing a tall gear right at the start of a ride. Now I just have occasional popping from my seat area?

    Thanks, Hutch!
rob, i always ride with my seat nice and high, maybe its too high? Im thinking about picking up a knee brace for the time being, but i dont want to make things any worst.

I would get your knee or knee's looked at just to be safe. It could be something simple or something bad. Hopefully it's nothing major.

The only time my knee starts to hurt is if seatpost has slipped down, or not having fore/aft position properly on seat rails. Did you change anything recently?

A physical therapist told me to sit on the floor with my leg out (not locked, relaxed) and to move my kneecap around gently. That, and taking it easy for a bit helped my knee pain/popping.
