    Smaller seatpost size

My aluminum frame is for a 27.0 seatpost. I have a 26.8 size seatpost and when I tight the seatclamp seems fine. Could that make any problem to frame or is it ok to leave it like this since it seems to work? Thanks

It is not ok , you will wind up damaging your frame . If you donot have the correct seat post you could try a shim made frome an aluminum can .

You are crushing it ever so slightly , eventually it will crack . Correct post or a shim will prevent this .
