Good job! service of fork...guides and more guides

So i going to service my rockshox tora 302 fork on my rockhopper tomorrow and been looking at all the guides/manuals

Problem is there so many and many have different views on how to do it i need some advice from those who have done service with simular fork.

    questions:-

Is it worth removing the lower leg seal+Foam rings?

And if not can i spray isopropyl alcohol/degreaser into the lower legswith the seal+foam ring still inside without worry as manual seems to says?

If i do remove the lower leg seal/foam ring, can it be done this way,Part 4-8.??
Ie without needing a "special seal insertion tool"

That all, i know where to put grease ie springs/seals and only small amounts

    cheers if anyone can help

If your seals are not leaking, then leave them alone except cleaning and lubricating.

only leak i have is on top of the lockout so probably a O ring.

question mainly was if i dont remove the seal+foam does it matter if i then spray degreaser/isopropyl alcohol inside lowers to remove?

Don't use degreaser, just alcohol. Just leave the seal and foam ring in place.

does it matter if i use some oil on the foam rings to lube them up as well as oil used to fill the lowers up?
