    Quick U-Turn Fork Question

I just upgraded my fork because my old one was bent. The new on I got is a Rock Shox Tora with U-Turn. I was just curious if there was an easy way to tell how much travel you are riding on besides getting out a ruler? Also, if i made marks on the stanchions with a sharpie to mark off 100mm and such would that be harmful to my fork in any way (and would it even stay on). How do you guys tell what amount of travel you are at? Thanks!!

I guess my used travel by the dirt marks on the fork. A sharpie shouldn't hurt anything, but I'm not sure on that.

On higher end model forks rock shox anodizes travel markings under the anti-friction coating.

I don't think a sharpie might hurt anything, but figuring out the travel should be pretty easy. Each "click" of the dial represents a 3mm travel increase/decrease, you could go from there.
