New Bike Needed

I aint new, i just have no idea when it comes to spec really.

I had a mongoose Teocali Elite, with a couple of upgrades, i.e. the shock and pedals... But it got nicked .... so i need a new bike from the insurance money...

I have upto £1,200 to spend (minus pedals as the insurance pays out seperatly for my spd's and accessories)...

So i would like some recommendations as the bike to get...

The bike i was looking at was Specialized Pitch FSR Comp ...

Does anyone have any better suggestions based on this info .... Oh btw, i do XC and all mountain stuff ... mainly a bit of everything ....

Go to those shops and test ride all the bikes in your price range and style. Pick whichever fits best.
