    mid ring questions

I am running a 4-bolt 104mm BCD 2-ring setup w/ bash guard. The 'middle' (or top ring) is worn out and skipping. There are several options around $14 at Jenson. Can I select any of these or will I need a different set of bolts based upon the new ring? Any suggestions? Price sensitive.

What is the difference with those that have 'pins'? What's the purpose of the pin?

Pins are to assist shifting, and no pins are mainly for Single Speed. New bolts are 99% not required to replace a wornout ring.
