    Cool-blue Rhythm Lightweight/Comfortable Knee/Shin pads....help

Here I am down in south florida and getting into the sport of mtn biking. Too bad I didn't get into it when I lived in UT . I love the sport! There isn't anything I won't do or try as far as drops, climbs, and a lil jump here and there. I enjoy challenging myself, and as a result, my knees/shins are looking busted. I'm at the point now where I am looking for a lightweight comfortable set of knee/shin pads. Call me vain, but wearing shorts down here in sunny FL just isn't cool with all beat up...lol. Anyways, getting to the point, I was wondering if anyone can give me some recomendations on some good lightweight pads. I'm torn between the Race Face Flank (d3o) and the POC Joint VPD Shins (VPD). I also liked the 661 Kyle Strait knee guards except for the fact it doesn't give you any shin protection.

I think both of those options look pretty warm to me. The reason is that they wrap around the back of the leg. Think big thick sock.

I ride in the Roach Rally FR knee/shin pads and its not terrible. Only the straps wrap around the back of my leg. But i'm not in Florida. I've actually picked up a pressure suit and am worried about how toasty i'm going to get when I put a jersey on top of it. ugh.
