    just got new grips...

...and its really hard to get them on the bars. Is this normal? It seems like there should be some way to make it easier, like putting soap or something on the bars.

They are Ritchey TGV Grips, btw.
    ...just curious.

Use hairspray. Spray a little on the bars, and some inside the grips, then slide em on, position and let it sit until the stuff dries. Been doing that since I was a kid. Just make sure you let it dry good.

I've used some good old spit. Works OK, just make sure you have enough when you start....hehe.

Don't use too much WD,your grips will be slipping for a little while after that too. Hairspray's the best for me or just use water,it dries quick.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

Alright, I used WD-40, worked great. Probably have too much, but I don't normally ride anything too hardcore so it should be fine. And its not slipping too bad.

i used to use an air compressor to kinda inflate the grips and pull on i bet using the air compressor and hairspray would work good.
