Couple of hours to go: Still undecided

    Hello.

Just a couple of more hours until new bike day. This is my first ever mountain bike and im completely new to it. My GF has decided on the Trek 3500 while me, Im still on the fence and could use some help. Well be looking at doing some neighbourhood riding and local paths but as we get better to do some popular singletracks in our area for sure.

Im looking at the Giant revel 1 as well as the Giant Talon 4. Still unsure which way to lean. Now that its only a few hours away until works is done im becoming indecisive. I need that extra push which is where you guys come in.

Revel 1 is a bit cheaper but maybe id feel less bad about beating it up and learning to fix it then the talon 4. Pros and cons for both really.

    Opinions are welcome of course.

    P.S. I love this community.

Ah, right - the guy from Kitchener. I thought you had decided, even after I had tempted you with that bike in Barrie.

I still say used is the way to go man.

I overthink too much in many ways of life. Its a curse really. To much research and I get ahead of myself. Its a pain.

Well, he didn't seem particularly excited about getting the new bike. Almost like the OP wanted an excuse not to buy.

I am very excited dont you worry.

I purchased the Talon 4 because it just made too much sense for me in the end.

Ive been waiting to spend money on a bike all winter just when I spend I like to be as certain as possible and the community here has been great. I really appreciate the input from everyone and hope to get in some of the more meaningfull conversations once I get out and have more personal experience to share.

    Thanks once again.
