    Clipless Shoe Compatibility

Just had one specific question here: can I use a pair of Crank Brothers Mallet 1 pedals with my Forte Traverse 3 shoes? They say they're compliant with most SPD cleats, are the Shimano cleats similar to or different than the Crank Brother's ones? I'd heard good things about the Mallet pedals, and I can get them for about $55, so I'd like to get them but I need to make sure they'll fit my shoes.

    Thanks!

spd shoes mean the common 2-bolt style that most mtn pedals/cleats use. so yes they shoudl play great together
