I believe all of the Leinenkugel family of beers is brewed under the Miller/Coors brand.

Also, milwaukees best comes in light and ice, they couldnt make it any worse than the beast ice

And under the AB you forgot busch ice...what a quality brew

I listed Leinenkugel (towards the top of Miller/Coors), but I didn't realize that there was more than one.

    But it's all crap anyways.

Boddingtons is the only one off that entire list I would even consider potable. The rest aren't even beer IMO.

Worse? It's dirt cheap, tastes like lightly carbonated water, and has a higher abv than any of the other reasonably cheap beers. If I'm going to drink cheap beer, I'm going to drink beast ice.

This is a MUCH larger project than I anticipated. Every time I explore a lead, I find 20 more. It's starting to look like unless it's made by a craft brewer, it's made by one of these two monster purveyors of crappy beer.

there once was a micro brewery
    in Ontario, Canada
    called Cool Springs
    they sold only one beer
    called Cool Springs
a 3.8% beer, long before the "lite" beer craze
but oh so tastey, perfect for summer
then one of the Canadian biggies bought them
    the rest is history...

I think I'm just hitting the tip of the iceberg here. Anheuser-Busch InBev alone is a one billion dollar a year company employing 116,000 people in 30 countries, and they sell about 300 different beers.

That's awesome. I wonder which hate-filled spewing of unintelligible nonsense brought the banhammer down? I scrolled through his more recent posts and didn't find any jewels.

Haa! I was one of the(un)lucky few to view his last post. Unlike most of the threads that RIS contributed to (outside of the beer forum) that ended up in the ReCycle Bin, this particular one was completely deleted by the mods in about an hour. He started a thread in the GD forum that had a link that if you clinked it would open a browser window that was uncloseable. (edit: I guess it's called "Rickrolling" if you're into that garbage) When you tried to click it, it would dance around the screen, your only option was to force quit your website browser. What a douche....

I don't know, man. I kind of miss that guy.

I heard that his April Fool's post went over like a lead balloon, and he got banned for 30 days.

But it didn't really matter, because he was already packing for a trip- he got sent to Oahu for a couple of weeks of training. Ocean view hotel room on the top floor of a hotel in downtown Waikiki, next to the Ala Moana mall and overlooking Magic Island (as the rumor has it). Got to hang out with an old motorcycling buddy and his bride, toured the north shore, went out to dinner every night, bought his young wife something special from Victoria's Secret, that kind of stuff.

The local liquor stores had nothing potable, but he found four-packs of Maui Brewing Company Coconut Porter at Don Quixote.

The best-tasting Guinness I’ve ever had was the 6.5% ABV stuff they brew in Nairobi Kenya. Discovered it in February/March of this year (2010). Waaaaaaaaay better than the pasteurised/filtered bullcrap we get here in the U.S.A., and surprisingly more delicious than the stuff they sell on tap in the U.K. (had to go through the U.K. to get to Kenya, afterall).

AB is the best brewery in the world bar none, not because the make the best tasting beer however. They turn some of the north americas dirtiest water, have you ever seen the Mississippi river? into the worlds best selling beer. Furthermore they do it day in and day out EXACTLY the same in a half dozen breweries around the country. Say what you will about the product but it's pretty damn impressive.

    I agree, it's genius!

Tastes like piss, but they sure sell a lot of it.

I'm not sure I saw Colorado Native anywhere on this list...that's a Coors "micro" product I believe.

I started to see this pop up and decided to do some research.

The original list from almost two years ago, and was posted in March of 2010.

    2. Out of that whole list, 2 I really like out of the beers on the list that I've tried. Sad. I do try to avoid anything under the AB/InBev/Millercoors umbrellas, but in fairness, there are a few beers there that are distinct from the BLS's that the parent conglomerate likes to foist on us as "beer".
