I'm very curious to try it, but have a feeling I would feel ripped off afterwards.

But why is it illegal in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Washington?

It has a lower ABV that a standard spirit.....

I believe because it is a beer and there is a limit on ABV for beers. Probably the fear that someone will drink multiple beers based on the number of beers rather than taking into account the amount of alcohol possibly being different than what they are used to.

As for drinking more than one...If you can do that you are hardcore..the flavoring and mouth feel of this is far from a regular beer type beverage.

Nope. Not what it's for...its for having an ounce or two and enjoying slowly. Not pounding back 10 at a time.

I sold $20 2oz pours out of my bar maybe 5 years ago. It's not carbonated so you can open and close the bottle without harming the beer. Dosen't taste like beer, more like cognac.

I've tried it, it was a while ago, so, obviously not the current incarnation, it was good,
    just not my thing.

Sam Adams is consistently pretty gross beer. Putting a stupid price tag on it won't make it taste better.

It isnt like reg sam adams. My old roomate had some 2000 tripple bock and would only open it every christmas for a couple shots. every year it would be a little mellower and smoother. I'm too cheap to buy any but it was nice. It's an experience.
Keep trying to do the awesomest thing you've ever done.

More like a cognac or port, many years old, barrel aged. Not a fan of true to style German brews? Your loss. They have plenty of one offs, barrel ages stuff and seasonals.

Yep. But it's better than wine! I even acquired the two sam adams Utopias glasses to go with my bottle so my wife and I can enjoy it "properly".

Excuse me but you do not think that $ 200 beer is already beyond the reasonable!?!?
Even if it is from the "golden hop" !?

When you pull your water out of the Charles River, it's gonna be nasty.

That all depends on if you can afford it or not.
