Manitou Mara Pro on V3 models

Anyone have any experience or opinion on whether the Manitou Mara Pro shock will fit the new V3 models? Phantom in particular for myself.

The reservoir is longer than a typical piggyback shock so it makes me wonder if clearance would be an issue on bottom outs.

Can't say for sure, but looking at the diagram on their web site and the below photo, I wouldn't think it wouldn't be a problem, looks like there's enough clearance. https://www.bansheebikes.com/shock-cage

Preliminary testing shows that it will fit when fully compressed, barely, with room for the reservoir on the down tube. A 55mm stroke shock probably wouldn’t unless the Prime has more room than the Phantom.

Shakedown ride in the books. So far so good, I need to add a few volume spacers to the air can. Initial impressions are positive compared the the DPX2. Seems more supple/sensitive for sure.

Looking to purchase a Mara Pro for my V3 Prime. Is anyone able to confirm if it will fit at bottom out?

Long Term? You aren't familiar with Colin- he already has a picture of the frame with a Jade Coil on it.

Haha! Some things never change! The Mara was an improvement over the Fox, but the Jade is better. I feel like these frames deserve a coil. Weight increase with the coil and 550lb spring was only 230 grams over the Mara.

Ha! Well I already have a jade x on the ripmo so...... But if any air shock I try think the Mara would be my pick!
