... and if we just ... White Mountains Trail System

The White Mountains Trail System is over 200 miles of single track loop and connector trails for non-motorized users (mountain bikers, hikers & equestrians) in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests of Arizona's White Mountains, near Pinetop/Lakeside & Show Low (about 4 hours drive from Phoenix). Each trail may be viewed and printed from www.tracks-pinetop-lakeside.org on which are descriptions of the trail, length, altitude, level of difficulty, etc. Connector trails provide riders with options for longer rides, thus making one of the more extensive trail systems around. TRACKS is a volunteer group that builds & maintains the WMTS, in coordination with the US Forest Service, in very beautiful Ponderosa pine forests. TRACKS is a free organization and sends out a free monthly newsletter with an activities calendar. In early Oct, the Tour of the White Mountains attracts riders for rides of 10, 15, 35, or 60 miles on the WMTS. If you want some great, sweet rides at altitude, check out the WMTS!

Curious WMTS...what is your affillitation with TRACKS? My aunt is a trail steward for Ice Cave trail.

Anyhow, love those trails. Mom lives in Pinetop and I try to ride up there several times a summer.

With good practice this summer, you should be ready for the 35. Hopefully you can get some good rides in at altitude.

Yeah I love those trails. It was my first time riding out there on the Timber Mesa trail and it was amazing. I live in Payson, Land of Quad Roads, so getting to ride that hardpack single track was great. there were some trees down on the Panorama connector, Just to give a heads up. I appreciate all your guys hard work"WMTS" I wish we had a group like yours down here.
