    Whiskey Volunteers Needed

Looking to get the word out for my Dad who is helping organize volunteers for the Whiskey Offroad just around the corner.

    Some details:

He needs volunteers to make everything go smoothly for this great event in Prescott. As most are aware, the Whiskey is jumping from a single day to a 3-day event. Starting with the Pro-Crit Friday and finishing with the Pro-XC on Sunday. It's going to be BIG

Looking for 30 volunteers on the Friday (April 29), 24 on Saturday (April 30) and 15 on Sunday (May 1). Volunteer shifts will usually last for 4 to 5 hours, and either be at the Courthouse Square or out on the course.

If you want to help and receive a commemorative T shirt, send me a PM with your E-Mail.

If you volunteer do you get your entry fee back?

No... but you get the respect of your peers which is of course worth so much more.

With the cost of entry for this race they could hire B list celebrities to do the volunteer jobs.
Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

At the Vapor Trail 125, Dave Wiens makes pancakes for you at one of the stops. Up until last year, it was a completely free, 125-mile event put on by Absolute Bikes in Salida. Too bad I DNFed that one.

Cold, wet year and I broke a SS chain ring bolt. I just need an excuse to bail. Next day we shuttled to the top and did the best part of the race

If you volunteer and get compensated, it's not volunteering in the end.

I agree with that entry fee, there is no need for volunteers, glad I will be passing on this race. Chad you are the man for even attempting the Vapor 125, think you need to mention a 10 PM start time

Thanks for all the PM's ladies and gentlemen... keep 'em coming.

It's going to be a big event, so all the enthusiasm and willingness to help those planning on participating is really appreciated.
