Where to stay for Bootleg Canyon?

Did some searches but didn't find anything too conclusive. Any opinions on the best place to stay near Bootleg? I'm heading up in a couple weeks for the first time. I'm thinking a hotel that's cheap but not so cheap that it gives you the willies, you know?

We stayed at the Hacienda right on the other side of the dam.

It was actually kinda fun.... some gambling... a buffet. REALLY cheap. Just a 10 min drive to Bootleg. That might be the top-notch spot in town.

Check out the station hotels (Palace Station, Santa Fe Station, Texas Station, etc). They usually go for about 50 bucks a night on the weekdays. They have about 7 or 8 casinos around town. I think the closest to Bootleg is called something like sunset station.
Getting a dropper post is like getting a bidet. I didn't know I needed one until I get one and boy, does my ass thank me.

stay on the strip. it's a short drive and you can stay in the lap of luxury with great chow, free drinks in the sport book and ample hot tubs with eye candy. The deals are insane at the 5 stars right now--cheaper than the motel 6 on the interstate. It's a total no-brainer.
