    Warning...Fixie Content!

Went back to the bay last weekend to see some old friends. I got my arse handed to me. They said they took it easy on me. First time ever riding a fixed gear bike. We spent 2 full days riding around the city, It was fun. I ran 48:17 on the red surly steamroller. The GT was running 50:20

Very cool!! Fixies are the bomb. But a fixie on the steep hilly streets of San Fran must have hurt! But what is the purpose of the top tube squishy covers on those bikes? Nut protection?

that's awesome... great pictures. Steep hills going up... yeah. Spinning out on the way down too... that scares me.

Don't mince your words DurtGurl... that had me laughing.

Other than fact you wern't cool if you didn't have a top tube pad, I saw no practical use for it.
