I was just in Europe and all the euro kids are riding the wooden ones. They are really cheap over there and you can pick one up for 20 to 30 euro's on their version of ebay/craigslist called
    marktplaats.nl - not that helps you .

I have been looking for my 2 year old and found these on ebay for reasonable price.

According to fish theyre more upgradable. They had rubber wheels vs the more plastic feel. Not a problem on concrete so much but id prefer something more like a real wheel

I was looking for one of these as well, but $100 is just ridiculous, either that or I'm cheap. For that kind of money I've decided to my 2.3 year old on a Walmart 26''.....FULL SUSSER, as the kids like to say.

There is a guy who has been selling Striders at Black Mountain BMX the last couple weekends. I haven't asked him about price though.

I know it's been mentioned in prior threads, but how 'bout a cheepo Walmart 12" bike with the pedals removed? You can pick one up for less than $30.

I've got the Haro with the orig 10" foam tires on mags and a set of 12" air tires on spoked wheels. It'd be about $160 for that setup new, I could go $100 for the whole setup if you're intersted.

thanks everyone, I think I've got a lightly-used one lined up with another MTBR'r. If that falls through I'll buy from Cactus since my kids are going to hit their track.
