Visiting in April. Need to know where to stay.

    Hello all,

I'm coming out to visit my best friend in April to spend a week riding and catching up. She lives in Phoenix but we plan on riding in Sedona again and Prescott. Now I know Sedona is great but she is wanting to hit Prescott for some riding also.

What I need to know is if Prescott is worth spending several days there? Would it be more beneficial to split our time in both places? Maybe rent a place in Cottonwood area and drive to either place depending on how we feel? Or is Prescott just something we do a day trip on and then head back to Phoenix after spending most of the time in Sedona?

Our type of riding is mostly just good ole singletrack up to black diamond level with small drops and such. She loves fast and flowy while I lean more towards technical trails with some good descents.

Copy that. So then staying in a place like Cottonwood and splitting our time is the way to go. Thanks for the info!

There's a half days worth of decent riding in Cottonwood, too, at Deadhorse Ranch State Park.

Thanks for the recommendations! Booked my flight and a place in Cottonwood with some fellow mtn bikers who are more than happy to recommend local trails so ready to go!
