    Trailwork on the 50yr

Be advised there was some Catalina Park staff with a group from Arizona Dept. of Corrections wildland fire support crew(crew was underage kids) doing some trail work on the lower 50. They were removing tons of rocks/boulders and waterbars from the trail as well as trimming trees and such from the State Park equestrian trail up past the hill towards the gate. I dont know how far they made it but they did leave some gigantic holes where all the rocks were removed so be carefull if you go blindly bombing down....

Ohhh...not to worry...I'm sure those holes will get filled in soon enough with asphalt once they pave over it and install a handrail. After all...we don't want those horses to struggle any more than they have to since they started their evolutionary struggle in the natural environment going back to the Miocene.
