Tinker Juarez at Tribe Multisport tomorrow afternoon

    Hey all,

This is short notice but Tinker Juarez will be at Tribe Multisport's Miller and Indianschool location tomorrow (Friday) afternoon from 4:30-6:00pm for a meet and greet. If you're not familiar with who he is, he has made a career in professional bicycle racing since the late 70's. At over 50 years old he can still mop the floor with just about anyone out there. On top of that he's also one of the kindest, nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. He's here to race the Prickly Pedal on Saturday.

Come on by. North East corner of Miller and Scottsdale roads just two doors north of Fry's 4:30-6PM. All are welcome.

He's a cool dude and will talk and answer questions without hesitation. the last time I chatted with him I was climbing up the dirt road during the Whiskey Off road and he just came riding along as a warm up for his race the next day. he was taking it easy and I could barely breath. after a quick talk he easily pedaled away.

Yeah, Tinker is the real deal. I was doing the 24HITOP years and years ago....dressed as magnum PI, OP's, Hawaiian shirt, pumas....looked like an idiot....I hear someone behind me for a few minutes..."hey, when you get a chance....." It was Tinker, said thanks and then motored off. Super nice. Fast forward ten years or so and you hear things like...." First place corporate! Yield!" Dbags........Not Tinker....dude just kept putting in hour laps all day, all night...

Tinker is the €hit....but I'm sorry....if you hear "1st place corporate behind you"....it's your duty to hold them up as LONG AS POSSIBLE.

Seriously....they are the rot on the block of cheese which needs to be cut off and thrown away.

Back to how awesome Tinker is!!!!

A pro once told me, "don't worry about moving out of my way. I'll find a way to get around you".

I saw TJ in a race at the mcd loops in 08 or 09. Incredibly fast.

Especially the ones with Nationwide jerseys on. Seems like you have to trade in your personality to get that jersey.

Tinker crushed it yesterday. The only one to finish under 3 hours and 6 minutes faster than the second place. At 55 he managed to beat out rest of the pros and 20's somethings.

Yup, I would have loved to see a bit more from the home team but keep in mind, the guy who finished 2nd is slated to be the next Rider Hesjedal...At 19 won the Canadian national road championships, killed it in Europe all summer and all in his first year of road racing coming out of his teenage years on mountain bikes. Here's something else to remember, 55 year old Tinker only rode fast enough to beat everyone else.

Wes worked as a bike mechanic for years. It would take him less than 3 minutes to pop the link and throw a snap link on.

    His gap was 11 minutes.
