Out of towner heading down this coming weekend to escape the snow,(Friday/Saturday, heading back Sunday). Looking for a place to camp, and would love to hook up for some shuttles. I'm not super agggro, but dig techy stuff, medium sized jumps/drops, steeps and rocks... Will have my Giant Faith and Reign along. Anybody ridin' ?

    jhazard,
Keep checking in. Shuttles kind of form towards the end of the week. Cactus bikes has been hosting weekend rides too.
Not sure about the camping stuff.

So if your preparing for Bootleg, that means Holbert runs all day?

From my first experience at BC two days ago, throw in some 32nd street runs, as well. Somehow I got disconnected from Latedrop and ABC, and I wound up on Ginger - lower maybe. Uuuuuh........ I mostly walked, or slid down 40 - 60 feet of it, but when/if my cajones get bigger I'll ride it. Good times!
I should be out on SoMo this Saturday, but Shrednesday comes first! Gee I hope my leg stops yelling at me, by then.

I'm game. I even picked a new line on Holbert yesterday that involved running over a dog.

Speaking of dogs, did you do anything with Posh on his birthday? I ended up passing out early.

Nope, never heard back anything after he stated he was waiting for Freddy to get out of work so they could go stalefish on each other.

Why did his birthday hang in the balance of whether Freddy was getting off earlier or later than expected?

Because while he may have a "girl friend" now, Freddy is his first true love.

I'll be @ SG lot with van and trailer @ 7AM this Saturday the 6th. Remember driving down a run earns some gas credit.

    THanks...

For the fine hospitality everybody. Would love to have shot more photos, but just trying to negotiate and keep up kept me too busy. Tha'ts some bumpy stuff you guys ride...

There's the tattoo from the friendly rock on Geronimo... my small sacrifice.

    The rig...

When I got home last night (bailed early to try to beat the storm in Flag), we had a few inches(more) on the ground already. This is why I drove 9 hours to ride....

and this morning, it was worse...

I was bummed to miss the Short Bus, sounded like a blast, maybe next time That cowbell stuff is too funny Can't believe there are not physical altercations that ensue from that... When you guys head up to these parts and beyond, let me know!

I dig the pic of all of the downtubes. I think that one is worthy of "The Rider's Eye" in DirtRag. You should submit it.

haha, never thought of it that way! Had my fill of snow growing up in Ohio, sadly, there are no mountains there, hence my Colorado residency. We'll hook up for sure, next time I'll be there for a couple/few days.

Thanks for the props on the pics, the underbelly shot is my fav for sure. We'll see if Rider's Eye uses it or not, I may have my sights set higher

Mcdowells will be overcrowded with xc racer types like Kavu. BTW I'm going to find Gee Atherton tonight and drink him under the table and then toylxl2 is going to snake him on the start gate.

Does anyone else feel like shuttling Somo tomorrow, besides me? I'm down for bringin' the Yote and trailer. I was thinking of starting at 8 - 8:30. Me and Punterofkittens are changing the seals on the Boot'r's fork tonight, so it won't be bleeding anymore. Greffster, how about it??
