    Thread Delete Plea to Moderator

Dear Mr. Moderator, myself and the other well intentioned folks here on MTBR AZ would like the thread about PIT TOILETS deleted. It has become a nightmare of political BS by those with sock puppet accounts.

How about they IP scan and ban the sock puppets and the masters while they are at it? Pretty obvious who is who.

While I find it mildly entertaining, repurposing the AZ MTBR forum as a political comment repository is disturbing. That $hit needs to go elsewhere...let's talk bikes here people for Gods sakes.

Trump's shutdown is sponsoring a new trail; ''Shutdown", which will be completed today and posted on
TF tomorrow; so thanks to all supporters.

And SB2, just make sure that yer pit program doesn't get you in the slammer---some hard assed ranger might see it differently from the way we do. If you do get nabbed, the law now says you can make one call/tweet/email---so post it up.
    cheers.

In this case Patriot Act is Switchblade2's sock puppet. Essentially a troll account so that the normal one doesn't get banned. They should ban them both IMO.

Yeah, uh, if you think free speech applies to a privately owned forum it could be argued that you didn't have an education either...

Presenting a technology magazine's fallacy laden op-ed as a fact based, citable source would also lead one to question if you had an education...

Just to help you, and the author out, if a publicly accessible internet site were truly a public forum, no, the word forum is not describing MTBR here, then moderation based on terms of service, such as Facebook has, could not exist.

While not a citable source they do a decent job of succinctly explaining the issue.

”The debate over what constitutes a public forum on social media websites will not end with this case. There will almost certainly be more cases involving Twitter and Facebook and Instagram that could also constitute a designated public forum under circumstances similar to the reasoning of Knight. The continued expansion of the Internet as a means of communication will continue to force the courts into examining traditional doctrines considering how the American people communicate over the Internet.”

First, your second link is a case regarding TV stations, not sure why you would think that is pertinent. Second, in both instances there are government actors at the crux of the ruling. Neither case is discussing private citizen vs private citizen in the context of First Amendment rights. Furthermore, in your second link the entire issue appears to center around rather leasing government property by a private party makes said property a public forum. Again, not something that applies here.

If you would bother to read you would find that all case law you think supports your opinion will include some form of government actor which is an entirely different scenario than this forum.

I'll even be nice and explain your first link to you. The question is not whether the platform, in this case Twitter, is a public forum. That is undeniably settled as a no. The question is whether the use of a person's private account, in this case the president's, to conduct government business, which he does, makes their personal page a public forum. That case has zero applicable implications on a private citizen using a private communications platform.

I think you're right, RA, but it's likely that Patriot Act is Comeatmebro, who was banned in November. Their pattern of trolling is pathetically similar. Not even sure he believes his own political BS, just having his fun riling up the "liberals." Guess everyone needs a hobby. I'll stick with bikes.
