    Strava Rant

Ok people, I love Strava... it's changed how I ride and most importantly, given me a reason to blast by hikers and equestrians, but making "strava-lines" around turns has just got to stop...the fvcking trail is was it is...DON'T try and cheat it and roll over desert stuff.
Case in point is the new trail just south of T-bird between cave creek and 7th street...While it used to be fun to chase the KOM on it, now it's become who can roll over the desert plants and establish straighter lines through corners.
You want to be fast? learn to take corners at speed.
And if you are cutting corners, then I hope you encounter some angry equestrian or a thorny cholla.

Man, I'm glad it's not just me! I've closed off a couple of those cutter lines only to see them right back a week later. For me, if you can't corner at speed then you can't really ride. Learn how to corner, anybody can ride straight lines

Do you guys also do mbaa races or any other similar events? Back before I had aches and pains and enjoyed going a little faster, i did a couple years of cat 3 racing. It was fun and i got to go as fast as my engine and skills permitted (very limited), without having to worry about hikers or horses. Havasu and white tanks races are around the corner.

I thought he was just being satirical. Surely no one really cares about such things. Right?
