Too drunk and/or stoned to know how to work their shifters!

    They Hate America.

Too lazy to haul around the weight of a complete drivetrain.

    I blame the economy.
It forced me to go from a 20T, down to an 18T. Why wouldn't I drown my sorrow in beer??? Where's the compassion?

I'm a "drunk"... and a "stoner".... And the only SS I own is my pumptrack bike.... So as I do have a SS, does that make me worthy? I'm sorta confused.... Since when does riding a bike with one gear, drinkin, and smokin make you a bad guy?

The drinking and smoking is cool, but being to lazy to shift gears is just a bit too far outside of societal norms.

Okey dokey there Mary, Oh crap who am I kidding, I canít afford a new bike right now, and if I could it would probably have 6 or 7 inchís of springyness. Plus I would probably suck at going up the BIG SCARY HILLS with one little bitty sprocket in the back. So Iíll just keep coming up with rationalizations that make me feel superior. In reality, the PUMP bike is just that. It doesn't even need a chain. I just put one on so the wife can haul the baby trailer... Steve-o's P.T. bike is a great example as it has no chain, no sprockets, no cogs, no seat or post, and no brakes... and it's faster than you'd want to go. NO gears and she's FAST.... SSrs should give pumpin a try. It'll make you faster and more efficient.

Pssst.. I renamed the Mary "Snot Rocket". It's green, I tend to umm, tend to my sinuses while riding, and riding a female-named bike made me feel confused and kind of funny in my tummy.
Speaking of gears though,.... getting Stumpy out of DNA (when I can afford to! HA!), so we'll have to ride sooooooon!

I'm back to my college day meal of top ramen. BUT, ramen is really really good with diced jalapenos!! Ooooh, add a toasted english muffin with a slice of turkey, cover it in rice and you'd swear you're eating gourmet!

BTW, I'm wishing I didn't go to college. This dumb degree does me no good at all, but the student loan bills keep coming just as promised. Like you said at least we have bikes.....oh wait, it's 149 degrees outside

    I'm hungry now, gotta run.

Now how am I supposed to get to ANY of that, when I am busy with my chainsaw, working on the final details of an ice-sculpture of you? I mean, geez, you've been AWOL from MTBR for so long, it was my contribution to your memorial. And NOW what am I supposed to do with that, and the collection of chain rings you've broken over the years, which I had made into earrings, and was going to sell, at the memorial? You vex me. Like Captain Hook.

Can we see a comparison picture essay of you in both lycra and baggies, just to clarify the debate?

PBR in the fridge in Harv's Domain (although the Beer-Fridge is now missing 2 from this-morning's wrench-session -- ON the S.S! She lost a couple-links).

Show up tonight w/your S.S. and I'll ride w/ya' on mine!

PBR and Darts post-ride (or Green Mtn., or Singletrack Ale, or a few bottles of Homebrew still left too! OR bring what you like and look for room in the fridge Pre-Ride).
See ya'-all tongiht ready to roll-out AT 6:30 pm!
    * Bring a towl for the pool out back for post-ride too (not that basically ANYONE ever uses it -- we hang out in the garage solving the world's problems, creating new ones and quenching our enormous-thirst!).

I;'ll get right on that. Do you have a large monitor? Like, the size of IMAX? My economy-forced ghetto meals are full or high sodium and too many carbs; Make it a widescreen.

Moderator, could you please move this post to the: why do people who post on mtbr take everything seriously? thread?
Noel! This is the first fun I've had in days. *pout* Why you wanna go and kill my vibe? This thread kept me from the mundane existence that is my life. I wanted to love it, pet it, and call it George. I guess I'll go vacuum now.

I missed the last one.. which vexed me. .Hmmm... a tank of gas to get to the west side, versus mundane Hawes.... SOLD! If I can, I will be there. Although where you are finding the energy, I don't know-- check out the 12 Hour site for pics. Yours made me laugh out loud. Awesome!

    Or e-me at: Harvsdomain@yahoo.com

Dude, that's just WRONG. :-( That wasn't FUN.

I found the Jell-O and whipped cream thing to be very sad. I mean, yes, I paid for the tickets to go watch, but when grown men have to resort to such SS fund-raising activities such as that? Well, it breaks my heart. Charity should know boundaries. Now I'm in a bad mood. What a world, what a world.

As for split times, I can't even download the results, so I can't help you there.

And, again, your apology was WHOLLY unnecessary, though kind of you. I needed the bump to step-up and join my MLR brothers, and I am glad I did, because the sounds of cheering, clapping, and "Go Deanna!" is what kept my wheels rollin' through most of the night. XOXO

I don't even ride. I'm a dude, sitting in maximum prison, sweating into my tighty-whities as we speak. Mea culpa.

Or- it could be that in this economy, the photos are now pay-per-view. Pony up the 5 cents and we'll talk.

no, thunder to steal. like a good buisnessman, I took all that action off the board and channeled it into the proper revenue stream.

I should call my mom for the photo of 8 year old me in a red mesh shirt after a day at Opri-Land. can you say BAD sun burn.

Well hell, son, what do you need me for??? Sounds like you've got the whole thing covered. And my lawyers would have you know that we still have the original e-mail from back in February, which specifically states that I was the be the star in the production, and you, the co-star.

    I can't work like this.

And now there are requests for lycra while cooking? Has the world gone mad? I only wear baggies.

The SIR9 cracked in-half at the drive-side rear dropout, and it looked like I had been riding with it for a while. It was cracked completely through. Niner took one look at it and is replacing it with a new Solid Gold (color, not the metal) frame. Check it out...that color ROCKS!!!

And Niner ROCKS!!! Immediate response and service!!

Good to hear from you, bud...we need to ride.

EDIT: Built up the purple Kona Unit 2-9 and riding that for now...

A friend of mine is on a team that is sponsored by Niner. A number of folks on the team have broken Niner frames. Not confidence inspiring.

    Hey Jeff...how's it going?
I have not heard of alot of Niner breaks in the SIR9, but know that the JET's were breaking, and Niner fixed that. And they immediately addressed my SIR, which is the key thing for me, because...sh*t happens. I like 'em!!

I know, right? I cracked two of the '07 Unit/Explosif 2-9 frames, which had a significant weakness at the headtube/downtube gusset (>10% failure rate), and they finally replaced them with an '08 frame (purple) in which the flaw was corrected. Been fine since, though I switched over to the SIR9 as my primary SS frame.
