    South mtn busy Sat. morn?

For the last few weeks I have taken South mountain off the "Weekend ride list" because there are so many people out hiking on Saturday morning from the Pima Canyon parking lot. Is it hot enough yet that the crowds are sleeping in? I miss National

    no

just the opposite, but that's not a bad thing! the heat concentrates trail use to the very early hours, leaving national virtually empty by mid-morning. on my return trips from the towers both days this weekend i was, with only one or two exceptions, treated to 'clean air' the entire way.

Good job! if you can take the heat,

riding a little later is the key to less trail treaffic.I went up to the buena vista parking lot and back down national saturday.started at 8 back by 11ish,hardly any one else on the trail.a few but not like the usual.
