But, I haven't been reading the Swizzle Blog so I may have missed some details on the trade out.

Nonetheless, you guys are studs on rigid, I just got my new Marz 120mm for my SS and love it...
I sold the fork on Ebay and got the full rigid. Now I can work on my bike cuz all i need is a cresent wrench and some allen's. Dont take to much smarts to work on my bike now and I can handle that

    Re: Next weekend.

    Yo, boys

Melinda and myself have been hitting chiva's ala SS the last few weekends but were looking for more SS company for this up and coming weekend. Get me a contact for the two of youse and we can hook up. Been thinking of a little exploring out at ol' 50 year. Got a few other SSers that are thinking of joinin' up. Send me an email with your phone contacts

Is that purple bike a GF Rig?

If so, how do you think the big wheels do on that sort of riding? Looks like they're good.

Yep, that is a Rig. It rocks on that type of terrain. You don't have to get as far back on the bike for the drops and such and is soaks up a lot of trail junk. I love it. I was complaining about it riding up the road on Mt. Lemmon, but that's just because I have been riding a barstool more than my bike for the last month or so.

Sweet ride! I didn't even notice the 29er in the crowd. It's a dream of mine to have a 29er SS -- probably with suspension, though. My rigid bike makes me cry.

Thanks. 29ers beg to be full rigid. Even though the Rig is aluminum and the Surly fork isn't the most compliant, it is too much fun to ride. I had it about 3 months with the Reba SL on it, and it was an awesome fork, but I just had to go back to full rigid.

I had a 26" rigid SSer and I can say that it beat me up more than the 29er on that type of stuff. Actually, I think my next bike is gonna be a steel 29" SS...

Yeah, Steel for me too...the Scandium is a little stiff as well. Can't decide if its gonna be another 26" or jump into the wonderful world of 29er's.
