    Interesting.

Maybe not as significant in Sedona per se, but I'd add "trail length and/or water/bailout/rescue options" in a rating system which could turn a bike ride into a body recovery mission.

I think it's pretty difficult to divvy up the trails like that. Like Templeton might have the tightest corners of any trail, but it's hardly the most difficult trail. Meh, might be cool if it gets all filled out right.

It can be a useful guide to riders and trail workers even if it isn't exact. If a trail is identified as easy, the work and rock structures might keep it easy where as if it is expert, then it should also stay that way.

With the widespread availability of today’s tools and applications, we need to rethink what
a good trail rating system really needs to become.

We should leave behind the days of trying to pigeon-hole a trail into a written rating.
Instead, we should provide GPS on topo maps w/ rider input to add ride time (moving),
time out on the trail (both moving and resting), calories burned, and pictures, as well as
    links to videos.

Not everyone will be able to (or want to) contribute everything, but many people will be
    able to contribute something.

[Likely], not a FO SHO on the death scale due to the areas of certain death were not consistent and limited to just one area.
