    Schultz creek campfires?

We are going Sunday to Flag for an overnighter. Is there any place to camp right now at Schutlz creek where campfires are allowed, or is the whole Mtn closed to fires?

5 miles up Shultz campfires are allowed. Just look for the sign that states so, it's obvious.

No, there are no closures but at some of the dispersed sites along the Schultz corridor fires are not allowed. The smoke hasn't really been bad in town since Monday.

This is the place to check for conditions or closures:

Does anyone know where I can buy a copy of Dale's map? How long should we give ourselves to ride up RR to Sunset to Schutlz Creek. Also what the best way to get form RR to Sunset?

Some will take 2 hours, others require 4.

The best way for most will be riding up Elden Lookout Rd. If you are up to the challenge, you could ride up Middle Oldham and Upper Oldham. I recommend the road.

It's pretty dang dry up here, July was a pathetic monsoon month with approx. 1" of precipt and August is worse yet,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,please be extra careful with the fires folks, we have been dodging the fire bullet for toooooooooo long and all it takes is one idiot with a lighter
