RR: Roadtrip Stoke!! 16 days, 9 states. 11 rides. Yay bikes.

It's taken me a while to put this one together. This weekend has been the first full weekend I've been home since mid-July!! I've been kinda gettin' after it this summer, sure makes it go by faster. The main post is really long, but there are a ton of pics. Most of which are from our tourist sessions along the way, but fear not each ride has it's very own separate blog entry. I'll make it even easier for the scrolling challenged by posting those links below. Talk about service. While I love Arizona and what it has to offer for the outdoor enthusiast, don't overlook our neighboring states and beyond. They don't always live down to the stereotypes.

Chadron State Park, Nebraska? Yikes. The goathead capital of the midwest. Somewhere in Utah, you took a right turn when you may have been better off taking a left and heading west to Lake Tahoe, Downieville, Oakridge, Bend, Hood River, McKenzie River, plus central and north central Washington.

I've made similar trips where we searched the midwest for it's best trails to ride. It's slim pick-ins. Did you visit the Devils Tower? Those pictures were spectacular.

How about a BC trip next Spring/Summer.
I can arrange tour guides and places to stay/camp for you..........and maybe even tag along on some of the rides.
    Cheers, and well done!

that turn was because (pretty sure) he did the Mah Deh Hey race... in North Dakota.. I do know what you mean about goatheads in the great plains... remarkable how they grow out there..

Yeah, RajunCajun is correct. While the PNW would be nice, it's a bit out of the way when driving from AZ to North Dakota. Yes, we stopped at Devil's Tower, there's a pic of the patch in the second to last photo.

Bart, don't you mean "Binge Vacationing"?

Great writeup John! I didn't realize MDH was within a days drive of Bozeman. That may influence future plans...

    Hey!! Wait a minute....

Evan, I was a bit surprised too. The Google says it's only 6 1/2 hours from Bozeman to Watford City, ND (Northern end of the MDH, very near where the race starts). We had to go through Medora, the finish area, first so I could pickup my race packet.
