    Rides in the Ehrenberg/Quartzsite area?

I'll be in the Ehrenberg/Quartzsite area later this week for around ten days. I'll have my TransAm 29 hardtail, heavy duty build, and would like to know if there are any trails of note in the area. Xc trails would be fine, chunks of techy stuff interspersed with poppy flow sections preferred. Might be a bit much to hope for I know. But hey, I had to ask.

    Your input much appreciated.

The only riding I can think of around that area are some of the jeep roads in the KOFA Wildlife Refuge. I've ridden the KOFA queen canyon road and it was pretty fun.

omg, I thought I was the only person to ever ride a mt bike in Kofa

I did an interesting loop in Kofa about 3 weeks ago, but it would require a fat bike.. Too sandy for tires under 3 inches...

These routes do not require a fat bike.

    1) all of the pipeline road.
    2) 25 road from pipeline east to 12 road.
    3) 12 road south to about owl head when it dumps into a wash.
    4) 14 road south all the way down to Hoodoo well (I like this one)
    5) Palm Canyon road and KOfa queen canyon road.

This place is very remote and plan on seeing nobody out there. The only exception may be palm canyon.

HA. That's pretty cool, there can't be too many of us!

I've done most of the roads on the South Side of KOFA.

The Horse tanks road is very good but it's short, the Tanks are cool to check out.

The road to Saguaro Tank is good.

I've ridden the McPherson Pass road and the Road to Big Eye Mine. Both manageable with a regular bike (some washes, tough but rideable).

Stone Cabin (off of 95) used to have a really cool Burger place (last winter), don't know if it is there again this year.

Southern KOFA is also pretty quiet, but you do get a fair amount of Winter visitor traffic (especially Big Eye Mine).

Palm Canyon is a cool hike, and don't miss skull rock in KOFA Queen canyon.
