rain gage on Thompson Peak shows 0.28" over the last 24 hours...Radar shows another big line of storms out west of PHX but moving to the NE so it might miss most of the valley. I'd say get it NOW!

Trails will be awesome. The sun will be out in the afternoon to dry them out, so hurry.

Just rolled 17 miles and got about 20 minutes of rain (Los Gatos--------DC Wash area for you Strava peeps. Trails were fine in the McD's (Desert Park & area) with just a few areas of standing water. As soon as I got home, it began to POUR! Fun ride!!

its weird to feel the thick humidity not accompanied the monsoon season heat. reminds me of a midwest may.

im hearing a significant amount of thunder within the cell approaching right now,, so i would probably not be out biking in this round

East valley (Ellsworth/Southern): intermittent light showers with an occasional hard rain for a couple min. No rain to speak of for about an hour or so.

Was looking to hit the McDowell's tomorrow...Which tails do you think will shed water the best? Don't want to risk damage.

at least its all on-again-off-again so it gives the water time to drain in between hits.
no shoveling my yard out of the street this time.

I rode a quick hour at T100 at 2pm - was tacky but not at all muddy. It's really coming down over here now (I live south of PMP).

Carefree Hwy is closed near the intersection with Scottsdale Rd. Quite a bit of flooding around Black Mountain and The Boulders.

Lot's of riding through inches of water down the greenbelt mid afternoon. A massive double rainbow appeared low over the McDowells when the sun came out for a while.

Went to Peoria for my sons hockey game late this afternoon, poured enough that the roof began to leak at the rink. Been home for a few hours now, and it has been dumping the whole time. Based on my pool, we have about 1" today..........won't be riding tomorrow.

Really? Ride it. If you see a muddy puddle, avoid it. Even if you don't, who has seen a mud ride rut from five years ago on any established trail? We bulldoze acres of land every day.

I agree with Cory. It might make us feel good to avoid it but, big picture?

last time I rode with Cory we had to cross the Agua Fria after a big rain like this, I went in…all the way to my shoulders.

    Anyway, road bike day today.

That was a fun ride! And that water was COLD! The BCT south of the river was primo and if I recall, no mud to be found.
