    Race Days?

I've poked around, and i can't find anythign in Arizona thats a race day.

Not sure what to call it. but if you're a runner, and there a road race, you pay a small fee, you enter, and than go run till the end.

is there anythign like that for MTN biking? in Arizona?

yeah ive been over there but it doesn't look like the sites been updated since maybe jan or feb. and has nothing listed for this month. and the race start times are just rules and don't have dates or locations.

the site isnt very user friendly

MBAA.NET? You sure? It's all right there on the first page. Looks pretty damn clear to me. Race 6, Flagstaff, May 22-23.

Your original post was not very user friendly.

I haven't looked much for mountain biking races, but if you check active.com they are where you go to register for pretty much every event you can imagine. You can do a search to look for specific types of events in AZ.

June 5th - 2heels4hope.com time trial at McDowell Park - Night time mtb time trial and free beer

June 12th - 12 hours of Temecula, Temecula CA

    June 19th, Barn Burner Flagstaff

Flagstaff this summer - absolute bikes St mary foodbank race or something like that...

All the DCB races this fall

Check out 4peaksracing.com... there are a couple of mtb races.

Really... use GOOGLE!!! There are a ton of races in AZ... I typically compete in 30+ per year without traveling too far out of state.

Yes, it is the state finals, but it's just a regular race if you aren't in the points series. The only true xc mtb races here are the mbaa series in the spring, and the dust devil series in the fall. They are just a series of regular races. You don't have to do the series. Lots of people only do a race or two.

Come out the 22nd and join the fun!

Yup...super lame that it gets over 100 degrees in the summer and no one wants to put on a race while everyone is going to other parts of the country to ride and race. Guess if you want to race, grab the bull by the horns and put one together. MBAA is a great organization that would help out. Talk to Stan Klonowski...he's the man.

What's your point, dude? You want to race in the summer in Arizona, you've got the Barn Burner in June in Flag, and the 12 Hours at Night in July in Prescott. And Tom's (tamen00) charity time-trial at MMP in June. Otherwise, the summer isn't really conducive to racing in the Phoenix area.

Not good enough for you? Then there are a ton of events in CA, NM and CO for you to choose from, all within a 6-7-8-hour drive.

Lose the 'tude and maybe you'll make some friends to ride with, too...

Registration is closed for what? Reg doesn't close for the mbaa race until Wednesday the 19th. And that's just online registration. You can register on site the morning of the race.
