Peoria West Wing and East Wing

Anyone ride on the trails in Peoria near Jomax and West Wing? It's called Peoria West Wing and Peoria East Wing. Looks short but could be fun. Just curious if anyone has beta on it. MTB Project shows no recorded rides. Peoria Regional Park looks like it could have some promising areas.

I live right by that stuff. I have ridden Sunrise Mtn a bunch, its the one on the south side of WW drive. I actually separated my shoulder there about three years ago. There is a new trail on that little knob on the west side of Lake Pleasant Parkway as well, I have not tried it.

The trail has short, extremely steep, punchy climbs. There is a set of switchbacks around the east side that are a challenge as well. There is an absolute TON of hikers there.

I have been out there once. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

I agree. It will do in a pinch. But not really a good trail to ride. There's T bird. But that's not much better. We lack good trails up here in North Peoria.

Well, not 100% True... There is some amazing stuff over on the other side of the canal "Pyramid Peak" which is just a short ride from your doorstep... Black Canyon Trail is a 15 minute drive (Emery Henderson TH), Lake Pleasant Trails are a 15 minute drive (and are awesome), Deem Hills is not as good as it used to be, but if you are into more Chunky stuff they are not bad, and you can always ride down the canal past Deem over to Sonoran and there is a TON of possibilities (Sonoran South links to Sonoran North, links to Cave Creek Park, links to Spur Cross...)

I think we actually have it pretty good. Yes it stinks that East/West wing are right there directly in the back yard, and the trails are not great for MTB. However, Peoria recently purchased a bunch of land and are planning on building new trails, so it will just get better...
