the south park episode where the town is taken over by a giant drum circle comes to mind. lets just play them some slayer and they'll go away. i do however get the urge to cry for the rocks that were lost on javelina. i mourn for them.....

... and if we just ... My problem is....

I am not a real smart feller, thus I have trouble understanding and relating with the rock that "has the most incredible life".

I know that part of my ignorance has been my lifelong abstinence from hard drugs of any kind and description. I also realize that perhaps, just perhaps, there really is more to life than sitting around worrying about a particular tree in the forest. Not that tree huggers are bad people, mind you, conversely most of them are actually pretty good people. I think maybe what is missing with this group is a balance point in the cranium between their ears. I think maybe, just maybe, their grey matter is a bit out of tilt to one side.

Whatever, they certainly supply some of us less intellectual beings with entertainment.

Jeff, thanks for sharing. I feel a certain 'connection' now that I seem to have been missing in life.

Time for this girl to attend a biology class and perhaps learn that a rock is not alive!

    Me too...

Yepper, I was a bit awed that the young lady had the ability to detect life from the rock, whether inert or otherwise (the rock of course - we know the young lady apparently has NO LIFE or she wouldn't be in the video). So, immediately after viewing the video I went into my back yard and picked a river rock, strictly at random, and watched it intently for about five minues, waiting for it to show obvious signs of life, which it did not. Now, I honestly don't know that this particular rock didn't move to that position seconds before I arrived at it, nor after I left. But, I did watch it and didn't see breathing or any movement. I am somewhat perplexed that I have spent my lifetime around rocks of all sorts and never had a meaningful friendship with one. I will always be mindful, from this day forward, whenever I run over a rock with my bike, that I might have been it's friend at some point and now that opportunity is lost. Oh, the webs we weave.
