    OT: Photo Radar Tickets

Do you guys deal with them (traffic school) or ignore them?

I hear Scottsdale is sneaky when it comes to serving them. They have some kind of agreement with the courts that allows them to simply tape it to your door and consider it served and then you lose your license.

    Anyone have experience?

No experience except that I was in road ride group this morning in PV and saw one the vans and were trying to get it take a photo. Sadly I don't think we were going fast enough to trigger it.

I had a buddy in East Mesa get a photo radar ticket in Scottsdale. He ignored it so after a while a process server showed up at his house on Christmas Eve as he was loading presents into the car. He asked the guy how he could live with himself doing such a thing and the guy responded that that is how his kids get Christmas presents.
    I need to ride more...

I don't know about the "lose your license" part but yeah, as I understand, Scottsdale got the law regarding service tweaked so that service was more easily effected. I (paralegal) researched this issue with a prosecutor who got a ticket, and conclusion was she was SOL (at least in terms of service).

It is. She fought it for awhile. I kept thinking she'd try to dismiss her hypocrisy by saying something like, "I can't afford a ticket right now because I have to pay for a new air conditioner" or some other excuse. Nope.
