    New SS!

Do you think I like the bike?

Transition Trans AM. I still need to do a little fine tuning (shorter stem) but I'm really impressed how it rides. fast, nibble, loves to fly. Climbs really well. don't even notice that its a 6 lbs frame.

we'll the Canfield was annouced just after I bought this frame. sort of like when i bought my Titus Locomoto. The 5 Spot was annouced weeks after I pluncked down the CC. but I was very happy with my LocoMoto.

who knows, I might NEED a 29er too.

Wow... cool bike, but... could you get outta the way so I can see that really amazing green 29er behind you? ;-)

Happy for you and TGP, Brian. And you can tell them about the rocket fuel hidden in the top tube, any time.

Hey, this is all about TGP! no attention stealing.

But as you know, the rocket fuel was in the trailer pushing me up the hill.

Love to see more tranny's out on the trail! I hear good things about that bike. I might have to get one myself. What size did you end up getting? How tall are you...I need some comparisons. Thanks...enjoy riding that tranny.

I have a large. I'm 6'2". it's got a longer effective TT than my previous bike, so as built I'm a little stretched out. but shorter stem should fix that. standover is great. and i can slam my 440 seat post all the way, so its going be fun in the steep or air.

I like the color combo...very cool.

It almost makes up for the fact that the bike has kiddie wheels. Whazzup with that? On a SS HT, it's either 29" or nothing.

Don't argue with me until you've ridden a 29'er SS. Then let's talk.

(You know I'm just giving you sh!t...)

    Thx...Doug

Well Nardolicious, YOU are the one who turned me on to plus sized tights last winter, if memory serves. So I blame YOU.

It will live a long life, now that I had the steel reinforced, to handle my weight.

No...and I have not ridden a "long travel" slack BMX bike...or a "long travel" slack tricycle...or a 4-wheeled DH rig...all of which sound like bad ideas to me.

Just quit fighting it and join the rest of us cool kids on the 29'er SS bandwagon.

    Thx...Doug

hey dgangi! brianc said he was gonna do some NRA with his ss. 29s are not as durable as 26ies in that environment. not as flickable in the air either because of the extra giroscopic effect of those hula hoops.

You're right. For jumps, little wheels are better. That's why I will always own a 26" full squish bike meant for that kind of thing.

But Brian at NRA??? Oh this I gotta see...

    Thx...Doug

I've already been to NRA. One jump and too much photo gear on my back was the death blow to my Titus.
