    Motorheads on T100?

Out riding T100 today and see no less than four different
sets of dirt bike (motorcycle) and ATV tracks on the sections to the west of the
Cave Creek tunnel and some just to the east of the same tunnel.
Wish there was something parks and rec could do to stop this.
    Must be the season, huh?

I could hear dirt bikes (or ATV's) riding in the preserve near 36th street (north side) late Thursday night. I was half asleep though and way to tired to get up and do anything about it.

I've actually seen Phoenix and Tempe PD riding out at Papago before, maybe they're making some of them. Still, wouldn't be at all surprised to see someone out there on an ATV.

it happens... I was out there when the rangers caught a TT couple, I assume on a break from rutting, tearing around on a quad and a motorcycle. And that was in the middle of a Saturday...

I've run 'em out of both the Lookout Mtn and the main preserve before. One dude I let have it with both barrels. He kept saying how there wasn't a sign where he got into the preserve (off some neighborhood culdesac). I told him he knew damn good and well that he shouldn't be in the preserve on that thing. As with most people these days, he'd rather I thought he was stupid than rude or just ignoring what he knew was wrong. There are some places where I think it would be good for the P&R to put in some pretty blatant signs saying NO MOTOR VEHICLES! in big easy-to-read letters. Maybe some pictures for those morons that can't read.

Yep, it happens... there is no education/awareness at the bike dealerships or folks just don't care. People find a road or a trailhead that's not posted and all bets are off. "What preserve? where I came in there is nothing posted" Every sport has it's minority collection of tools I suppose.

couple years ago on the TRW trail, right where it gets up to its "peak" (ok, not much, but steep for about 20 yards), we saw 2 fools and their little kids in a brand new giant quad. nimrods ignored the narrowing trail and found themselves in a spot where they could not turn around without risking tumbling their vehicle downhill. they actually asked us "is this trail ok for quads?"
