    mem. wknd. prescott or flagstaff

I apologize if my question have been asked, but my husband and I are planning a trip to either flag or prescott. my preference is flag, but some posts suggest it won't be melted enough for the entire mtn. to be open by mem. wknd. Is this true? what about Prescott? is there enough riding to keep us busy for 4 days? Also, I'd like to ride Mingus. I get that most people shuttle. Since we only have 1 vehicle, what are the logistics to park at the bottom and ride to the top, then drop the downhill.
Sorry about all the questions, but I appreciate any/all the help I can get.

    Thanks in advance.

I would recommend Prescott due to the snow in Flagstaff. There is plenty of riding to be done in the Prescott area. Especially if you throw a day of Mingus in there. I don't have many specifics on Mingus, but I'm sure someone will chime in with details. PM me if you would like some ride suggestions in the Prescott area. What type of riding are you looking for? How long do you want your days to be?

There is a loop on Mingus that I do = 2000' up and 2000' down. Take 89A to the top where there is a turn off to the right thats FR104. Park at the bathrooms, ride FR104 for 3 miles to the hang gliders drop off. Get on trail 105 to a "T" turn left to 105. From 105 get on road 338 to (start climb) trail 547 to 548 and get on 89A which takes you back up to the bathrooms. Has a tech dh and climbs combined. Have fun.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely plan to ride Mingus. The type of riding we're looking for each day is about 3+ hrs., prefer to climb fireroad up and singletrack down. We'd be ok making a trip to flag. is there are some good trails that will be accessible lower on the mountain.
SHU I PM'd you for specifics on rides in the area.

    Thanks, guys.
