    McDowell Summer Night Ride series?

Are we going to have the night rides this year. I've got people asking me at work about it?

I'm sure they will happen but not sure of the schedule.. Maybe a call to the Slippery Pig shop in Fountain Hills.

Parks open until 10pm- we can do our own if the park doesn't.

Last time I spoke to Rand the night rides would be taking place. That was 2 months ago. So, unless something has changed and Rand has said no, then happy night riding to all.

No. Here is the link to last year's schedule: http://forums.mtbr.com/arizona/mcdow...le-852813.html

Basically about every 2-3 weeks for most of the summer. What makes it so good is that one of the local bike shops (Fountain Hills Bikes) sponsored it, and provided FREE (Yes FREE) food (and it was really good) and drinks for after the ride, and there were lots of people out there (100+ for most of them). Makes for quite the experience that is hard to get on any other ride. It is so cool seeing all the lights out there

Yeah, if they don't put it on (fingers crossed it is still on), then we can organize something informally here. However, I *really* enjoyed the atmosphere out there last year.

Just saw this on the McDowell Mountain Park page. Can't wait!

Parks & Recreation - Maricopa County

Summer Night Ride Series - Pemberton Trail
    McDowell Mountain Regional Park
The first night ride of the 2014 summer season will be Saturday night, May 10th. The other dates for night rides will be May 31st, June 14th & 28th, July 26th, August 9th and 23rd and the final night ride will be September 13th. Only 8 rides this summer down one from last year but they have been great times to ride at cooler times, experience the park at night and see friends and catch up on whats going on. Hope to see you all on the 10th.

Hey, sorry I just saw your question. They are 10 & 12 YO, capable of putting down a nice 10+ mile lap out there at MMP. This will be their first time doing it at night though!

Tomorrow night is the first ride, the forecast looks perfect, I can't find a good reason not to go. There's an FB page to sign up and see which of your buddies are going.
